Hangouts is the best way to video chat with your which can also be integrated with GoogleTalk.It lets you:
Plan meetings.
Have random talks within your circles.
And importantly a new feature that says *Hangout with Extras*, allows you to share documents, pictures, videos etc.
It is also better than Facebook's video chat which uses *ChatVibes* extension to get a video chat get started.
Whereas Facebook has not marketed or advertised it's video chat,
USA president Barack Obama, the Miami Heat trio of Chris Bosch, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James & Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan have all taken part in a hangout.
